The Republican senator from Texas is scheduled to attend the Indiana GOP's Spring Dinner at Primo’s Banquet & Conference Center, 2615 National Avenue.
Cruz will be joined by Indiana Gov. Mike Pence and Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, who’ll give the keynote address.
Individual tickets for the 5:30 p.m. event run from $50 to $350. Table tickets run from $1,500 to $25,000.
"We have offered invitations to all of the presidential candidates, and we are honored that Sen. Ted Cruz has accepted the invitation," Indiana Republican Party Chairman Jeff Cardwell said in a written statement. "This election cycle has put Indiana in a historic spot and we are ready for an exciting year."
Cruz is the first presidential candidate to announce a visit to Indianapolis but isn’t likely to be the last. The state could hold more sway than usual in the hotly contested races for both Republicans and Democrats.
Candidates have been laying groundwork in Indiana for weeks.
