Presidential campaigns plan busy schedule of Indiana events

On the final day before the primary, presidential candidates are holding rallies, stopping by local restaurants and asking supporters to head to the polls. Here’s a look at Monday’s campaign events:

Hillary Clinton

U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-Indiana, and U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minnesota, will hold two get-out-the-vote events Monday. They’ll start at the Vigo County Democratic Party Office at 10:30 a.m. They’ll then go to Indianapolis for a 1 p.m. event at the Hillary for Indiana Office at 7235 N. Keystone Ave.

Sen. Ted Cruz

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas starts his morning at 9 a.m. at Bravo Cafe in Osceola. His running mate, Carly Fiorina, will be at Hilligoss Bakery in Brownsburg at 9:15 a.m.

For the first time, Gov. Mike Pence will join Cruz on the campaign trail. They’ll stop at The Mill in Marion at 12:15 p.m. before going onto Fort Wayne for a rally. The rally starts at 2 p.m. at the Grand Wayne Convention Center. Tickets are required and can be found on EventBrite.com.

Meanwhile, Fiorina will head to Carmel for an 11 a.m. stop at Soho Cafe and Gallery. Fiorina moves on to Fishers, where she’ll stop in Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream at 12:30 p.m. Then in Fortville, she will talk with voters at Lincoln Square Pancake House at 2 p.m. and in Franklin, Fiorina will drop by Greek’s Pizzeria and Tapp Room at 4 p.m.

Cruz takes a break at 5:30 p.m. at the Wagon Wheel Market in Bloomington, where he’ll be joined by Glenn Beck. Cruz and Beck will then join Fiorina in Indianapolis for a rally at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. event are required and can be found on EventBrite.com.

Bernie Sanders

U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont starts his day in Evansville with a rally at the Old National Events Plaza. Doors open at 8 a.m.

He continues his focus on the youth vote with a get-out-the-vote  rally at IUPUI. Doors at the Hilliard Gates Athletic Center Gymnasium open at 11:30 a.m.

He then wraps up the day in downtown Indianapolis with a rally on Monument Circle. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.

All of the Sanders events are free and open to the public but RSVPs on his campaign website are encouraged. Admission is first come, first served.

Donald Trump

Donald Trump visits Carmel Monday. He’ll hold a rally at the Center for the Performing Arts at 4 p.m. Doors open at 1 p.m. He then heads to South Bend for a rally in the Century Center at 7 p.m. Doors open at 4 p.m. Tickets for both events can be found on Trump’s campaign website.
