“The Hunchback of Notre Dame”

Director Bob Harbin’s annual summer musical production is an ambitious one. The musical based on the classic Victor Hugo novel and featuring songs from the Disney film includes not only a cast of 20 but also a 22-member choir and a 15-strong orchestra. The Eiteljorg’s signature event returns with Native American artists represented more than 60 cultures converging on the museum grounds. Hoop dancer Tony Duncan and musician Arvel Bird are among the headliners, but this hardly a passive event. There are plenty of interactive opportunities for art making as well. “The Golem of Havana”

The Indianapolis Early Music Festival includes a June 23 performance by Hesperus accompanying a screening of the 1921 film “The Three Musketeers” at the Indiana History Center.

Summer Solstice at the Indianapolis Museum of Art’s 100 Acres art and nature park June 24 includes music by Cyrus Youngmen and the Kingfishers and a screening of the movie “Harry and the Hendersons.”

Daughtry performs at Klipsch Music Center June 23, with Florida Georgia Line following on June 24 and Def Leppard on June 25.

WZPL’s Birthday Bash June 23 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum includes Fifth Harmony and Flo Rida. WTTS’s Rock on the River concert June 23 at the Lawn at White River State Park includes The Revivalists.

The Brooklyn Nomads, June 25 at the Indiana Landmarks Center, celebrate the music of the six countries named in the March travel ban.

The Indiana Performing Arts Initiative stages “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” June 23-July 2 at Herron High School.
