Those fees include $68,000 to the Indianapolis law firm of Ice Miller, which drafted bonds offered to the Nebraska-based retailer, and $28,000 to O.W. Krohn & Associates, an accounting and consulting firm in Westfield that hammered out payment schedules and other details of the bond.
Another $34,000 went to the Greenwood law firm of Williams Hewitt Barrett & Wilkowski for its advice to the Johnson County Redevelopment Commission.
Cabela’s said last week that a slowing retail environment forced it to indefinitely delay the project. A spokesman said the project likely won’t resume until at least 2010.
A water park and other developments near the site have stopped as a result.
The Cabela’s was to be located southeast of Interstate 65 and County Line Road.
