Hawker Beechcraft Services plans to expand its maintenance and service location at Indianapolis International Airport, the airport announced this morning.
The airport board approved the $14-million project along with a 32-year lease. Forty to 50 workers will be added to the current 73 within five years.
The new facility will include a 6,600-square-foot terminal, and 40,000-square-foot hangar and administrative offices and other space.
Six other Hawker Beechcraft locations around the country also are being expanded, said the company, which has leased space in Indianapolis for 37 years.
The services unit is owned by Hawker Beechcraft Corp. of Wichita, Kan.
