League officials seemed to like the direction the city is taking with the more creative aspects of the bid, including a pedestrian-zone and Super Bowl Village at the Circle, said Mark Miles, president of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership.
The officials also liked Indianapolis’ idea of stretching the required event the night before the Super Bowl, possibly making it a concert extravaganza featuring several acts at different venues in the city.
“We’re just delighted that the reaction was extremely positive,” Miles said.
Indianapolis is competing against Phoenix and Houston to be the host city for the event.
Last year, Dallas beat Indianapolis and Phoenix to host the 2011 Super Bowl.
