The company, which operates in the northern Indiana city of Warsaw but is headquartered in Westland, Mich., primarily supplies Detroit automakers with drive-train components, including manifolds, heads and water pumps.
An individual living in Westland, Gerome Harvey, acquired the company last year from Hayes-Lemmerz of Northville, Mich., after Hayes-Lemmerz discussed closing the Warsaw plant.
Vice President of Operations Mel Patton said Harvey Industries is diversifying into supplying Japanese automakers as well as companies that build trucks, all-terrain vehicles and other transportation equipment.
