  1. Glad they are redeveloping this property but taxpayers need to be prepared for $10 million+ In environmental remediation costs. Appears no due diligence was performed at all on this industrial property and no doubt the former owner has made sure they are not financially responsible for cleanup. No doubt Mr. Ozdemir will pass the bill to taxpayers.

    1. Micah D.. Agreed, a high rise would be a good choice in that location.
Being close to the stadiums and a great view of downtown.

    2. I think you’ll finally get what you been wishing for years. Im expecting we should see some high rises with lots of residential and mix use around the stadium. Im guessing Indy will build a larger version of Carmel’s Midtown. lots of residential, mix use office space, retail and restaurants. I just hope its on a grand scale with plenty of live entertainment, water features and lite up really nice at night with plenty of colorful LED lighting.

    1. I understand why folks are praising this selection and I’d like to be optimistic given the Elanco proposal across the River. However, the overall thinking seems dated from an urban dev perspective. The area remains industrial – including the railroad and utilities both north and east of the site and those aren’t going anywhere. There’s very little residential and the area commercial appears rarely used (LOS included). What’s the appeal to attrac residents? Good luck and I hope I’m wrong.

    2. Mike, many cities are taking old industrial sites (even brownfields) and redeveloping them into exciting live-work-play destinations. If anyone can pull a rabbit out of the site’s hat, it is Ersal and his team at Keystone.
