make it happen!!!
Sounds like a great project and venue.
The Hendricks deal and location is the best for downtown. Close to Gainbridge and Lucas Oil Stadium, and Convention Center, and Hendricks will do the classy job that’s required! The MLS site misses on all those.
While anything of this sort is a feather in Indy’s cap, personally I pay enough for television these days that I don’t ever anticipate paying to watch a sporting event on what is essentially a huge television (not to mention costs of parking, refreshments, etc.). I’ll stick to spending my money on live sporting events.
I think it’s more for the tourists and out of towners.
Neat concept, but I would think advancement in virtual reality headsets will make this largely obsolete in a few years. Maybe corp gigs or parties can still make it work for them.
I really don’t think so. I have a VR headset and it’s inherently anti-social unless everyone in a room is using one. I don’t think VR headsets will be as common as cell phones anytime soon.
Would be cool to check out at least once. After that, I would be wondering why pay for an admission ticket when I could use that same money to buy drinks/food at another sports bar that does not have cover (or even the game itself based on the high-end of the range provided for a regular season NBA game).
Wonder if Indy has enough sustained year-round demand for something like this outside of big convention/sports weekends and popular games.
