Get over yourselves. If you had wanted a better title, you should have gone to medical school.
Such a warm heart, Michael.
+1 Michael G
Five years from now PAs will be wanting independent practice to just like nurse practitioners do. Everybody wants the “practice at the top of my licensure pot of gold” but nobody wants to actually go to school as long as physicians do to obtain it.
I have had two experiences with PAs one was after shoulder surgery at Ortho Indy and the PA was great and responsive beyond belief. so much better than trying to reach the surgent. The other was in a local doctors office and the PA didn’t have much interest in my medical situation.
Navy Corpsman are believed to be Saints by anyone who has served in USMC and been treated by one.
Part of the US health problem is we have become a nation of “snowflakes”
I see both sides of the equation and have followed this for a good while. Maybe health insurance companies will move towards more PA’s in the future in order to cut costs but on the whole, I like the idea of PA’s. Personally, I don’t think the name or title is worth the fight. Lastly, all of these opinions have merit and we need to keep an open mind and also the consumer needs to educate themselves about issues like this and not rely on others.
Doctors speak outside the scope of their licenses at the drop of a hat.
And they believe their opinions should matter.
No Doctor, your opinion does not matter.
