  1. She got the spectacle she wanted, and Vop gets his pathetic sound bite.
The council needs to decide whether Vop’s control of the narrative – with force if necessary – is actually good governance even if appears more like a cover-up.
Is standing on arbitrary rules about precedent and procedure actually more important than hearing uncomfortable truths and serving the city?

    1. She got the spectacle she wanted? I’m fairly certain that Lauren Roberts wanted NONE of this spectacle and didn’t want to be sexually harassed when she first took her job with the City. She didn’t want a spectacle. She wanted the truth to be told.

  2. Too many agendas to manipulate and cover for. The Dem caucus creating 3 more boards or positions to help rationalize the mayor’s abuse of the office, is pitiful at best.
VOP’s attempt at being the enforcer of arbitrary time constraints is backfiring on his moves to become mayor himself, especially since he refuses to call for the mayors resignation since that would look like a coup to take over.
    Such dilemma’s. Ha!

  3. Charles, you are correct. For “years” now, the lame city council, and horrific mayor have done everything EXCEPT serve this city. The city council needs to have caps on how long a person can have a seat. Way too many of its members need to go. THEY stand in the way of any progress in cleaning up this city on behalf of the people who live here. They can’t even clean up their own administration. Wrong is wrong, and no means no, and it can’t be twisted to fit a narrative, lie, or excuse.

  4. Get rid of Hogsett, get rid of Vop. I’m tired of having a City-County Council and a Mayor that only care about covering their butts and praising themselves for their mediocre successes. I want a Mayor and a Council that aren’t degenerates, have a holistic vision for how to make Indianapolis better (better transit, better public services, better parks, better trails, better schools), and are willing to fight for that vision instead of rolling over to the Indiana General Assembly.

  5. I do remember that the mayor himself had affairs that caused his wife to divorce him ?? It looks like a boys club is going on here. Shameful. They all should resign for unethical behavior.
If men can’t stay faithful in a marriage how can you trust them in their business dealings.
    The mayor needs to resign..

  6. And exactly how much time was allotted to the law firm and Hogsett over the past month or so to proclaim that as always everything was done perfectly and beyond reproach?

  7. The down Indianapolis is a mess since the mayor’s second term . The flower beds are full of weeds and you can’t even part because of these bike lanes that you never see anyone on, that was a waste of taxpayer money and a eye sore.
I thought Hogsett would do great things boy were we wrong.
He is shameful to cover all this up. Just like these democrats lately. They lie ,lie and lie some more.
And the same things goes for any Republican who does the same thing.

Our children are watching. Can’t you politicians set good moral standards.
Hogsett needs to resign along with some others.
