A weekend fire forced firefighters to dodge bullets, after the blaze ignited ammunition left behind from a shooting. The fire
broke out about 11 p.m. Saturday in a home in the 3500 block of North Leland Avenue on Indianapolisâ?? east side. Fire crews
say that when they arrived, the ammunition, believed to be from a shooting earlier in the day, began to explode. No firefighters
were hurt. A male shooting victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition. An investigation is under way to see if
the two incidents are connected.
Police are looking for a gunman who shot a 17-year-old boy in his home just before 2 p.m. Sunday in the 4700 block of Munter
Lane on Indianapolisâ?? east side. The teen said he was heading back into the house from his backyard when the gunman followed
him inside the home and opened fire. One of the bullets hit him in the shoulder. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Indianapolis-based Miller Pipeline Corp. announced Monday morning that it has purchased Illinois-based Elcon Pipeline Inc.,
marking the company’s fifth acquisition in the past four years.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the pace of mortgage loan activity increased 2.1 percent for the week ending Nov. 27, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association. Rates for 30-year loans decreased to 4.79 percent from 4.82 percent the previous week. Fifteen-year mortgages decreased to 4.27 percent from 4.32 percent.

John Robinson and Adam Broderick of Jones Lang LaSalle will be in charge of leasing the 1.1-million-square-foot, two-building property, which is 99 percent leased. Jeff Reynolds, who has managed Chase Tower for six years, will retain that role and will become an employee of Jones Lang LaSalle, which will open an office in Chase Tower. The property is owned by Macquarie Office Trust.
