Carmel City Court joins state courts network

Carmel City Court has joined more than 40 other Indiana courts in using the state Supreme Court’s electronic case management
system.

Information in the Odyssey system is available over the Internet at no cost.

Odyssey was installed
in 10 Indiana courts on a pilot basis in December 2007 and now operates in 43 Indiana courts in 14 counties. These courts
comprise 21 percent of all the new cases filed in Indiana.

The Carmel City Court handled nearly 11,000 new infraction,
ordinance violation and criminal misdemeanor cases in 2008.

Odyssey is part of a multiyear effort to link court
systems to each other, police, state agencies and others who use court information.
