I know our troop was clean. When I was Senior Patrol Leader, the adults were there for legal purposes only and had nothing to do with the troop except to be there so we could say adults were present. If someone had touched any of my friends they’d have been killed as an example to other adults.
This is so sad. I grieve in so many ways for this. For the families who were damaged and abused. But also for the families who were accused but didn’t do anything wrong. For the organization that has been constantly harassed for their religious programs and lifestyle. For the families who have trusted the adults. For the families where nothing wrong happened. For the tarnishing of this wonderful organization. I’m not naïve to think nothing happened. But why are they just now coming forward? Satan also has a hand in this. He is roaming the earth seek who he will devour. A lot of lies were believed. I hope people that were responsible for the abuse and the abused get the emotional and spiritual help they need. Only Jesus can get down to the roots and produce long eternal results.
