  1. good riddance and lets hope that Taylor can step up and get our downtown back up-to a respectable level. This admin will be the reference point for “what went wrong” for the future to refer back to. We were once known as one of the safest and cleanest “downtowns” in the U.S. LET’S GET BACK TO THAT!

  2. Amen to the previous posts!..Once one of if not the safest metropolitan city in our country. Now if we can just get “footloose” recalled or forced to resign I believe this city will one day return to its’ former reputation.

  3. Cook was, and is, an arrogant, petulant child. Good riddance. May he be embroiled in scandal and investigations that result in his humility and imprisonment. Perhaps hell meet Popeye for some Chon Chon.

  4. And what is the “news” here? Is it that two qualified individuals were appointed to replace the former occupiers of these offices or that they were women? If it is just race or gender that qualifies people to work in offices of the Mayor, how is the public served? The public wants the most qualified individuals base ONLY on their qualifications and experience; race or gender should have no relevance here.

    1. Right! We hope that Taylors resume lends momentum to the job ahead of her for sure because its a big one. Perhaps showing up to work will be a good start. I think that’s all its going to take to get the incompetence of the past overturned

  5. If the two major appointments exert any type of leadership, then they will far outweigh their boss who is, hands down, the worst mayor in the last 50 years. We have a city full of great people who deserve better.

  6. It’s too bad Cooke leaving. He actually got a lot done that mayor bozo took credit for. He was driving force behind all the downtown development over last 5 years. He would have been good mayor.

    1. The last 5-years developments were pre-heating and on-deck from the past, in many cases. In other cases, Lilly and other strongholds (including our former Governors influence) partnered to bring confidence to new suiters. In all cases, new development relied on a long-term reputable city management system. This admin is a fail, top-to-bottom. If left to alone, we could see more businesses heading for the hills and nothing pre-heating for the next 5-years
