  1. Hy-Vee is pretty mid-road, but a good grocery.
Been to their stores in Moline, Rock Island and Galesburg IL. Good community stuff (food pantry contributions, etc.).

  2. I grew up with Hy-Vee in small town area in west central IL and southeast IA. It is not high end, but a good grocery store. Excited to see it coming to Indiana.

  3. Hopefully plan is to build 4-5 stores in metro. Not sure what happened with Giant Eagle/Market District. They built one store and brought a gas station chain.

  4. This is great news! I grew up in small-town Iowa – near Des Moines. Hy-Vee is nice, but not considered high-end. It should do well in Indiana. Now, if we could get Anderson-Erickson dairy products here… 🙂

    1. Heather T. Yes! I grew up in Iowa as well. Loved that Anderson-Erickson chocolate milk as a kid. 🙂

  5. A 150k sqft store on 26 acres?! I mean, I know this is suburban development, but that’s ridiculous. As a comparison point the Castleton Costco is the same size store plus a gigantic gas station on 13.5 acres.
