Must be high end no Walmart’s aloud in yuppie village.
Hy-Vee is pretty mid-road, but a good grocery.
Been to their stores in Moline, Rock Island and Galesburg IL. Good community stuff (food pantry contributions, etc.).
I grew up with Hy-Vee in small town area in west central IL and southeast IA. It is not high end, but a good grocery store. Excited to see it coming to Indiana.
Hopefully plan is to build 4-5 stores in metro. Not sure what happened with Giant Eagle/Market District. They built one store and brought a gas station chain.
We need an HEB. Several of them
Glad to see somebody challenge Kroger. I wish someone would contact me for other areas that could be good spots to expand into.
Looking forward to the friendly smile in every asile!
oops…….. “aisle”
Actually, it’s “a helpful smile in every aisle”. 🙂
This is great news! I grew up in small-town Iowa – near Des Moines. Hy-Vee is nice, but not considered high-end. It should do well in Indiana. Now, if we could get Anderson-Erickson dairy products here… 🙂
Heather T. Yes! I grew up in Iowa as well. Loved that Anderson-Erickson chocolate milk as a kid. 🙂
RIGHT?!?!?!?
I am SO excited Hy-Vee is coming to Indiana! We lived in Des Moines and they were our favorite!
A 150k sqft store on 26 acres?! I mean, I know this is suburban development, but that’s ridiculous. As a comparison point the Castleton Costco is the same size store plus a gigantic gas station on 13.5 acres.
I assume it would be an anchor for other smaller stores to be in the same parking lot.
Publix.
Publix is the Hy-Vee of the south.
