I think it’s sad that the “federal leaders” are deciding whether to relocate some Ukrainian’s to the US when how many people from many different countries are streaming in our open southern border? I think we all know the reasons why they open the faucets in the south, but want to limit the Ukrainian’s. How obviously political can you be in your approach.
Ukrainians lived under Soviet socialism and did not like it. That is anathema to the socialists who would lead the United States. Don’t expect any open borders for the Ukrainians in the US. All talk and no action is the same as denial.
Well, not open borders as in “come one, come all” but the quota is 100,000. As men of “fighting age” (18-60?) are not allowed to leave Ukraine, it will likely be women & children.
