  1. I notice a number of schools in the building phase for either new or remodel. Must be a lot of money in the systems. Lets share this money with the hard working teachers, and establish mental health programs for our youngsters.
The delinquents of today become the prisoners of tomorrow. Lets correct the cycle and reward our caring teachers who are mentors to the youth.

    1. Building funds and operating funds are different and cannot be commingled as per the Indiana General Assembly.

Indiana schools have been at a construction‘s arms race for a few decades now. Don’t keep up with Carmel/Zionsville/Westfield/Fishers/Avon/Center Grove/etc., no one moves to your area.

The only thing schools can control is putting referendums on the ballot that only last for seven years before they need to be renewed.

Meanwhile, IPS is sitting on prime real estate that is the old Broad Ripple High School and the state of Indiana refuses to let them sell it, mandating it must be given to a charter school for one dollar. If you want to help IPS out, allow them to sell that building.
