On the day that an IBJ headline states Central Indiana lacks educated workforce to fill high-skilled jobs, report finds “Central Indiana lacks educated workforce to fill high-skilled jobs, report finds” the state decides to lower standards to make sure that never changes.
Wanted a witty comment, but this just seems wrong.
The headline sounds terrible. However, it doesn’t sound like they are actually reducing the standards, just the number of standards. Perhaps a better headline would have been “State plans significant reduction in number of standards for K-12 students”.
