Indianapolis police have identified a person of interest in a shooting that injured five teenagers Saturday night near downtown’s Central Canal. Police Chief Paul Ciesielski said they are searching for a 16-year-old who may have been involved. Five teens ranging in age from 14 to 17 were shot just after 10 p.m. near the Indiana History Center on the west bank of the Canal, between Ohio and New York streets. Three of the victims were treated and released from the hospital, but two remain hospitalized with serious injuries. An argument may have led to the shooting, but at least two of the victims were bystanders.
