We need to listen to those with whom we disagree and try to form a common ground. Compromise, an almost lost concept here in the U.S., is good when practiced in a dignified, respectful environment. I am tired of those with whom I disagree immediately using a broad-brush stroke to paint me as an outcast just because my views differ from their views.
Hopefully this article will help turn the tide for folks that seem intent on not trying to understand another person’s viewpoint.
