Regions Bank announced Tuesday that Erik Miner has been promoted to serve as market executive in central Indiana.

Miner will continue serving as commercial banking leader in the region, a role he has filled since 2010.

He succeeds Leslie Carter-Prall, who was recently promoted to leader of private wealth management throughout Regions’ entire 15-state territory. Carter-Prall had led the central Indiana market since 2014.

Miner joined Regions in 2010 as commercial banking executive, leading corporate and middle-market banking services in Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky. That region grew to include the Chicago market.

Before joining Regions, Miner spent 16 years in commercial banking roles for Fifth Third Bank. The DePauw University economics graduate got his MBA at IUPUI.

Regions also promoted Schiela Pena to local community relations officer.

Birmingham, Alabama-based Regions has about $125 billion in assets, and 1,500 banking offices and 2,000 ATMs in the South, Midwest and Texas.

The bank has nearly 300 employees and 28 branches in the Indianapolis area.

Shares in Regions Bank parent Regions Financial Corp. were up 15 cents Tuesday morning, to $19.61 each.
