  1. Indiana Rural voters in Indiana – largely viewed as MAGA country – should remember that all seven GOP member of the House of Representatives voted against the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 which is funding this initiative that will finally bring broadband internet service to every nook and cranny of the state.

Why did they vote against it? Because it would give President Biden a “win” – something that House Republicans to this day simply cannot tolerate. Even if it benefits the roughly 1,460,840 residents who live in rural Indiana.

    1. Starlink is a better technology at far less cost. Fiber to rural is the worst use of taxpayer dollars no matter how you slice it.

    2. DH starlink is not scalable past its current size.

Does not work past supporting maybe 2% of earths population

    3. Because of the laws of physics, nothing will ever beat fast wired connections. Starlink is better than sending internet packets through phone lines that were never designed with the Internet in mind. That’s about it.

    4. Brent, that’ll never happen.

You think any of those folks remember it was FDR who spent all that federal money to give them electricity? Of course not! That’s why they’re supporting a bunch of rich city dwellers who want to roll back everything Roosevelt ever did.

Electricity, roads, crop subsidies, now high speed internet … glad that Deep State has it in for rural America.

    5. Weren’t you whining about solar and wind being the future? Don’t you think farmers deserve the “green” unreliable energy you advocate for?
