The article states that the Illinois Sports Corp still owes $530 million on the Soldier Field renovation from just over 20 years ago. The Indiana folks better learn from this and prevent this from happening in 20-30 years for any new build because this will happen again as the Bears will look to relocate back to Illinois. And that State / City will be more motivated to bring them back. I don’t trust that the current IN people will have that kind of foresight and the fortitude to negotiate effectively.
