  1. This is ugly. As a network engineer, it is so easy to manipulate any piece of the Internet that a company has control of, and it is so wrong. The average user can never tell where the delay is happening, and in this case, you still get access, but as second class citizen.

It’s not too different what Russia is doing where it doesn’t block access to sites in the west it doesn’t like. They just slows things down to the point that people won’t wait for it to load. For user response time, anything more than 1.5 seconds is way too slow for people to tolerate for long.

    What a fascist thug!

  2. Hmm. Wasn’t Twitter the site that blocked the Hunter Biden Laptop story and blocked the New York Post entirely as part of a scheme to interfere with an election? And, now, these same organizations that cheered that move are complaining about a slight delay? Interesting.

    1. You are correct Patrick.

Twitter was so much better when it was a giant child sex-traffic ring, way back in 2021. Now those poor saps have been forced to move to Mastodon, which has nowhere near the reach and pull. What a shame. Maybe Disney can start a microblogging site to help them out.
