Revenue growth FY 2022 to 2024: 265.74%

Adding on: ISolutions uses Microsoft Dynamics 365 as a base to build on to create automated accounts receivable products that businesses use to send invoices, collect payments, send payment reminders, check the status of orders and do other tasks. Owner Ryan McBee said what iSolutions does with the Microsoft product is comparable to what you do with your iPhone. The phone itself, like Microsoft Dynamics, is the basic product. When you download apps, you’re enhancing the phone. Similarly, iSolutions enhances Microsoft Dynamics. “Bottom line, we’re riding the Microsoft coattails,” he said. “Which is not a bad coattail to ride.”

Case study: ISolutions has nearly 500 customers that run its app and leverage its business-to-business customer portal, including the Houston Texans. When sporting goods distributor Baden Sports needed help on multiple fronts—automating processes, connecting systems, dealing with high credit card processing fees and needing to improve customer experience—iSolutions’ accounts receivable package of tools combined with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central product was the solution. Some results: a nearly 1% reduction in credit card processing fees; elimination of manual steps to process payments, resulting in at least three hours saved per day; and the ability to release deposited funds in seconds rather than hours.

His background: McBee was a School of Public and Environmental Affairs student at Indiana University. After graduating, his first job was as a bookkeeper for a company that used Microsoft Dynamics, so he learned the product as an end user. “I learned the product inside out.”

Paying attention: McBee said the key to iSolutions’ growth has been producing what his customers need. “In the early days, people would say, ‘I really like your product, and I like you, Ryan, but we need your product to do these two things.’ And I’d say, ‘If I add these two things, will you sign up with me?’ A lot of our growth was from listening to our customers.”

Continuing that thought: McBee said his company will continue to grow by listening to what customers need and developing those products. “It’s not all about wanting to grow  year after year. You have customers that you have to take care of now.”•
