  1. Now we all await that Republican improvement on the Affordable Care Act that will be cheaper and better … that’s been 15 years coming and … has never progressed past “concepts of a plan”. Because as we know, Republicans are pro-life in words, not actions.

    1. Don’t lump the 2 together as “pro life”. Abortion and affordable health insurance are two very different things. It reminds me of the Catholic Church being too spineless to say they don’t support abortion, so they have to lump in being against the death penalty, because execution of serial killers and terminating a pregnancy for convenience are exactly the same thing…….

    2. I don’t see them as different at all. If you’re pro-life, you shouldn’t lose interest when the baby leaves the womb like Republicans do. That’s just being pro-forced birth.

If Republicans were as militant at attempting to eradicate maternal mortality as they are pushing for zero second abortion bans like Indiana has, maybe you could call them pro-life in some ways. But they’d rather 100 pregnant women die of sepsis from miscarriage complications or be unable to conceive again for the rest of their lives … than allow 1 elective late term abortion.

And that’s just abortion. Those who claimed to be pro-life are strangely silent as we kick poor people off Medicaid, and they were all for cutting spending on child care to instead fund vouchers for the wealthy to send their kids to private religious schools like theirs.

I don’t see how being pro-life, or even a supposed follower of Jesus Christ, ties into an attitude that health care is reserved for the wealthy and those holding jobs.

Catholics are at least more consistent even if you don’t agree with them. Maybe their next area of focus could be on how the state of Indiana allows hospitals to steal federal money intended for the care of the elderly … to be used instead on CEO salaries and shiny new hospitals.

    1. Yes, because Harris was going to be such what … a socalist? And introduce the government into numerous private businesses with “golden shares” and tell them how to run their businesses? Or introduce new taxes on Americans and then send the money to foreign countries so they can turn around and hurt our farmers and ranchers?

Or the masked federal agents who are above the law that grab people with no due process … I was told for years that Democrats would introduce that, and that people needed the ability to have their own arsenals to protect themselves against that sort of thing.

Trump has done all the things that he and Republicans claimed the Democrats would do and Trump voters just sit there silently and take it and cheer for it. It blows my mind on a daily basis how anyone has been convinced that Donald Trump of all people cares one wit about their needs and is going to do a thing to help them.

    2. Oh Joe, your msnbc talking points are so not based on reality. If I thought it would make a difference, I would go through each one and via logic, reason and facts try and help you get a grip.

  2. wait- what- The government was shutdown?

    Never noticed.

But then again, some of us are not dependent on the teet sucking class.

I’ll just go back to work and keep sending in half my income while giving away another good portion to worthy charities.

Thank you for not bothering me while I try and enjoy the remainder in peace.
