The Indiana State Department of Health on Tuesday reported 12,126 new cases of COVID-19, an increase from 9,870 in Monday’s report.
The department also reported 77 more COVID-19 deaths, raising the pandemic total to 19,643.
COVID-19-related hospitalizations rose from 3,363 on Sunday to 3,460 on Monday. The pandemic high was 3,519 on Jan. 13.
COVID patients occupy 35.5% of Indiana’s intensive care unit beds. The state has 10.9% of its ICU beds available overall.
More than 3.6 million Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Monday at 5 a.m. More than 1.5 million Hoosiers have gotten vaccine boosters.
The department said 59.9% of Indiana residents 12 and older are fully vaccinated.
