Charter schools were a good concept when proposed and the idea was to limit to certain needs. But, politicians got involved and now there are way too many charters and many do nothing to enhance education. They only take funds away from our public education system and with almost no accountability. The charter program now is destroying public education for our children and really needs a full evaluation. Once they recruit a student they get the money. If student goes back to the public system, no money moves. Terrible concept.
Close schools and sell some real estate. Didn’t they have a nice offer for Broad Ripple HS, but refused it because it was from a charter?
why didn’t Purdue Polytechnic acquire Broad Ripple HS instead of building new?
That’s great to ask for public opinion, but the public is not qualified to make suggestions. We must rely on our educators to make the best decisions possible for the benefit of our children.
Not sure their Union bosses would allow that…
