  1. As a frequent user of the bike lanes in this segment, removing them is a considerable safety hazard. Considering the proposed trail is only 12 feet wide, putting bidirectional bikes, electric bikes, and pedestrians into this wall-bordered section is a recipe for disaster.

    1. Are you serious J B? Have you ridden on the Monon Trail? It’s not even close to 12 ft wide and it’s fine. This new trail should be great.

    2. I’m not sure wat you are talking about. There are currently no bike lanes between the Monon and the shops on Broad Ripple Boulevard, going east. There are lanes going West, but what makes you think this project will take them out?

    3. I reread the article, and see that you are right–bike lanes will be removed. Sorry for my lack of care.
