  • Compass roseJockamo Upper Crust Pizza, the popular Irvington restaurant, has opened a new location in Old Town Greenwood. The restaurant is at 401 Market Plaza, south of Main Street and west of Madison Avenue. Co-owner Mick McGrath, a former general manager at Bazbeaux, opened the original Jockamo in 2007.
  • Red Habanero plans to open a second location in front of Walmart along 96th Street in the former home of the short-lived tapas restaurant El Bodegon. The new Mexican spot, slated to open in late December or early January, is a few miles east of the existing restaurant at 96th Street and Gray Road. The owner is Raul Perez.
  • The Black Market, a local gastropub, is scheduled to open in December at 922 Massachusetts Ave. The owners are Ed and Sasathorn Rudisell of Siam Square, and the chef is Micah Frank of R Bistro.
  • Candy Bouquet has replaced the Marmi shoe store at The Fashion Mall at Keystone (at least through Valentine's Day). The Arkansas-based concept offers a sweet-tooth's take on the Edible Arrangements model, selling arrangements of candy and chocolate for a variety of occasions. The chain also has a location along County Line Road just north of Greenwood Park Mall, and at Hamilton Town Center.
  • Indiana Leather Company, a perveyor of handbags, backpacks and wallets, is scheduled to open at The Fashion Mall at Keystone Nov. 12. Also at Fashion Mall, local men's clothier Raleigh Ltd. has opened its new store.
  • Jem Jewellers, a local specialty jeweler, and Escapades, a locally owned women's specialty boutique, have opened in Carmel's Clay Terrace. Both shops moved from previous locations in Fishers.
  • Donatos Pizza plans to open a new restaurant in the Villagio at Page Pointe condo building at the corner of Virginia Avenue and South East Street. The restaurant, owned by franchisee Mike Simon, is set to open Nov. 29.
  • Firehouse Subs is continuing its local rollout with a new location in Plainfield. The Florida-based chain plans to take about 1,900 square feet at 1820 E. Main St. Other local restaurants are in Avon and Indianapolis.
  • Buffalo Wings & Rings has closed its downtown Indianapolis store at 111 W. Maryland St. The Cincinnati-based chain has four other Indiana locations that remain open, including in Greensburg.
  • Cooper's Hawk Winery is now open in the former home of Bahama Breeze on 96th Street east of Keystone Avenue. It looks like a whole new building.
  • Family Dollar has won approval to build a new store at the southeast corner of Morris Street and Sheffield Avenue on the near west side. The 8,000-square-foot store will replace several existing buildings.
