A&E priorities for the week include doubling ‘Back to the Future,’ more

“Back to the Future”

No, “Jaws 19” isn’t in theaters. And we aren’t flying around on hoverboards. But the future date depicted in the “Back to the Future” films has arrived and there are plenty of opportunities to re-experience the 1980s flicks. The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will be filling in Alan Silvestri’s soundtrack music for a screening of the first film at Hilbert Circle Theatre. Meanwhile, the Indianapolis Museum of Art will offer outdoor showings of parts one and two (bring a picnic)

 “April 4, 1968”

IRT playwright-in-residence James Still crafts a play exploring how an Indianapolis family responds to the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. and the Robert Kennedy speech that was inspired by the tragedy. It’s a rare world premiere for the Indiana Repertory Theatre.

“The Nether”
