Subscribe NowRx Help Centers, a fast-growing Indianapolis-based company that helps patients save money on medications, said Wednesday that it will open an operations center on the northwest side as part of an expansion that's expected to add 50 jobs this year and 230 by 2020.
Rx Help Centers serves more than 150 local and national clients, including municipalities, small businesses and Fortune 500 businesses, such as the New York Islanders NHL franchise, Batesville-based Hillenbrand Inc. and the city of Fishers. The company said that since it shifted its sales focus from individuals to employers last year, it has experienced triple-digit revenue growth each quarter.
To support the expansion, the company said it will open a 6,000-square-foot operations center adjacent to its existing, 5,000-square-foot facility at 3905 Vincennes Road.
In a statement, CEO Jeffery Christensen said the company decided to expand in Indiana because of its "nearly ideal mix of well-educated, pragmatic and well-rounded workers with an unusually strong work ethic."
Rx Help Centers—which helps insured and uninsured clients gain access to lower-cost brand-name and generic medications—currently has 21 employees, including 12 hired since January. The company plans to ramp up hiring for patient advocate positions and administrative personnel over the next three months.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Rx Help Centers up to $1.5 million in tax credits based on its job-creation plans. The incentives are performance-based, meaning the company can't claim them until workers are hired.
