Levi Coffin State Historic Site Community Days

The landmark on the Underground Railroad—the way station for more than 1000 slaves seeking freedom—will become a year-round destination thanks to the addition of a new Interpretive Center. Diane Schuur

The jazz legend, whose young career got a big boost in the late ’70s when she impressed saxophonist Stan Getz, plays the intimate Carmel venue. If you can’t get out during the week, Mary Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives will be playing on Friday.  Dec. 7 The Warehouse Details.

Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre revives “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” Dec. 9-Jan. 1.

Comedian Kathleen Madigan plays the Egyptian Room Dec. 9 while The K-Love Christmas Tour, featuring Crowder, Unspoken, and Mac Powell, plays the Murat Theatre.

Indiana Ballet Conservatory offers its “Nutcracker” at the Indianapolis Museum of Art Dec. 8-11.

On Dec. 6, Indiana Landmarks’ annual organ concert, “The Holly & the Ivy,” highlights its restored 1892 instrument, supplemented by piano, horns, handbells, and singers.
