Roving Cinema: “Clue”

With its multiple-ending gimmick, lame jokes, and frantic attempts at generating energy, the cinematic adaptation of Clue, the board game, was never a favorite of mine. However, I’ve got to the Indy Film Fest folks who have gone all out in their planned presentation of it as part of the Roving Cinema series. For this event, participants will be greeted by a mysterious butler and watch the film from a series of locations throughout the Athenaeum, collecting weapon and room cards along the way. “The Open Hand”

Realizing she doesn’t have her wallet, a woman has a pricy lunch bill in a restaurant picked up by a seemingly generous stranger. But are there strings attached? Do we ever give anything without expecting something in return? That’s the setup for this recent play by Rob Caisley, being given its Indianapolis premiere. April 20-May 14 Phoenix Theatre  Details

“Mad Mad Hercules”

I have no idea what you’ll be in for at this world premiere by Bennett Ayres. Suffice it to say that NoExit Performance and Zach Rosing Productions, two of the region’s most creative theatrical entities are producing and, in addition to a full cast, there will be projections and puppetry and Recommended for ages 16 and up.
