“Seu Jorge Presents The Life Aquatic: a Tribute to David Bowie”

OK, so the title’s a bit confusing. Let me walk you through it. Seu Jorge is the Brazilian musician who covered David Bowie’s songs—in Portuguese—in the Wes Anderson film “The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.” Now does it make sense? Sept. 14 Clowes Memorial Hall Details

Kelli O’Hara with the ISO

It seems a Broadway season hasn’t gone by recently without Kelli O’Hara’s taking on a leading role, whether it’s in a standard such as “The King and I” or “South Pacific” or a newcomer such as “The Bridges of Madison County.” She’ll have plenty to choose from when she joins the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir for a weekend of performances. Sept. 15-16 Hilbert Circle Theatre Details

“La Cage aux Folles”

Actors Theatre of Indiana opens its season with the musical that helped open minds to the idea that middle-age same-sex couples can be just as tuneful as their straight counterparts. Come for a drink and you might want to spend the winter, indeed. Sept. 15-Oct. 1 The Studio Theatre Details

Seth Rudetsky and Will Swenson

Rudetsky—one of Broadway’s biggest boosters courtesy of his SiriusXM hosting, event emceeing, web presence and much more—joins Swenson, the star of Broadway’s “Hair,” “Les Miserables” and others, for a concert and chat session courtesy of The Cabaret. Sept. 15 The Cabaret at Indiana Landmarks Center  Details
