4 thoughts on “Senate greenlights bill to help Carmel build new hotel, conference center complex”
Lots of empty space on the southeastern side of Clay Terrace which backs up to 31. There was talk of putting a hotel and apartments there several years back.
I agree. Fantastic spot. The only issue is lack of direct access to 31. From the south you’d need to exit at 146th street, go through three stoplights and then south to the far end of Clay Terrace. From the north it’s pretty janky because you’d need to get off at 151st, go through three stop lights and then south through Clay Terrace. From downtown Carmel you could access through Range Line but that’s far from direct for out-of-towners who may be trying to get there. Also, depending on the time of day and day of week, traffic along 146th can get pretty backed up.
This is the same county that could not fund a women’s shelter for domestic abuse victims an unmet need in Hamilton county
