  1. Really just shows how poorly inflation is understood. There are really only 2 areas of “inflation” that are heavily skewing these CPI numbers, energy (unrelated to regular inflation) and used car prices (also unrelated to regular inflation). Everything would be fine if people (media/click-bait/partisans) just didn’t fear-monger…

    1. I haven’t seen any appreciable price increases in staple food items. Looking through Kroger.com just now, there seems to be plenty of food at the same price as 2+ years ago. Ground beef/chicken is 3.49/lb. Milk is 2.89/gal. Potatoes are .50/lb. Loaf of bread is a 1.00. Not sure where you are shopping…
