Quincy Jones–the all-time most Grammy-nominated artist–will be picking up an honorary degree from Indiana University this weekend. And as part of his visit, he'll be engaging in an on-stage talk tonight with David N. Baker, chair of the Department of Jazz Studies at IU's Jacobs School of Music.
Among Jones' many achievements: producing Michael Jackson's "Thriller" album and the 1985 star-packed "We Are the World." He also wrote the theme song for "Sanford and Son" as well as 33 movie scores.
The free, open-to-the-public talk will begin at 6 today at the Musical Arts Center in Bloomington. Doors open at 5:30.
