Ready to pack your picnic basket, head up to Conner Prairie, and talk over the music?

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra has announced the lineup for its 36th Symphony on the Prairire season. It features a hint of classical music along with multiple tribute nights and a few name-brand headliners.

Here's what's in store:

The season opens with Beethoven's Fifth, June 15-16. Then tributes to the Eagles and the Summer of Love (Jefferson Airlplane, Cream, etc.) are featured in one-nighters June 23 and 24 respectively.

July 1-4 is, of course, reserved for Star Spangled Symphony with four nights of patriotic music and fireworks. Then it's back to the classics with a romance-themed evening featuring music by Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, and more.

Movie music is the focus on July 15-16 with John Williams' scores as the focus. It's followed by a pair of Doo Wop evenings July 21-22.

After that, the Symphony itself goes on break, turning over the stage to others. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy takes the stage July 28-29, The Beach Boys, led by founding member Mike Love, follows on Aug. 4-5. The season rounds out with weekends devoted to Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, and Led Zeppelin tribute acts.

The only hole in the schedule is an Aug. 31-Sept. 1 TBA.
