Crossroads Comedy Festival

With Theatre on the Square temporary closed, the multi-day, multi-stage, day-and-night gathering of sketch, improv and stand-up acts has spread out over other venues. Over 100 theater artist have been recruited to help imagine what a neighborhood ought to be. The free event spans three city blocks and includes such pop-ups as a Hip Hoperetta Tour Station, the Club Monon featuring jazz and blues, and the Monon Barbershop for storytelling and socializing. “City as Canvas”

Graffiti is the subject of this major exhibition arriving at the IMA courtesy of the Museum of the City of New York. More than 100 works chart the journey of what was once seen nearly entirely as an eyesore but has since become an influential and respected (by some) form of art.
