In what could be the local museum community’s longest-running temporary exhibit, the Eiteljorg examines the way movies and television have shaped our understanding of the American West. “PostSecret: The Show”

The internet sensation—which began as an experiment in which a Maryland man handed out postcards asking for personal secrets never revealed to anyone—has spawned a live show in which a trio of actors reads from what now number more than a million postcard entries. The show is accentuated by video projections, animation, and in some cases, context. March 2 Schrott Center

“The Bridges of Madison County”

Community theater Footlite Musicals offers the local premiere of the romantic musical based on the bestselling—and much-maligned—novel. The story was redeemed, in part, from Clint Eastwood’s film version and has been given added dimension thanks to a strong score by composer Jason Robert Brown. March 2-17  Hedbeck Theatre
