Another piece of property in downtown Fishers will soon be available for redevelopment.

The Fishers Redevelopment Commission is accepting bids on a 0.62-acre parcel at 3 Municipal Drive until Dec. 11. The property sits to the south of the Fishers City Court building and is being used for construction staging.

Fishers spokeswoman Autumn Gasior said there has been interest in redeveloping the parcel, and the city is trying to gauge the interest level by opening it up for offers.

The redevelopment commission is expected to consider proposals at a meeting in January.

According to the bid notice, the city is looking for a commercial project involving office and retail space.

“The commission will consider whether the proposed use includes or attracts high-growth, high-potential businesses that best serve the interest of the community, from the standpoint of both human and economic welfare,” the notice reads.

The Switch, a $28 million mixed-use development, is directly to the south of the available parcel. The three-story office and retail building, four-story apartment complex and 442-space parking garage is nearing completion.

The Purdue College of Pharmacy’s Center for Medication Safety Advancement and the Purdue Manufacturing Extension Partnership occupy the second floor of the office/retail building. CloudOne, which announced in July that it would relocate its headquarters to the third floor of the building, is in the process of moving in.

First floor tenants have not been announced yet.
