Two Carmel companies adding 35 jobs

April 7, 2016

Two Carmel-based human resource companies are planning to add 35 employees, more than doubling their staff sizes.

ExactHire plans to add 12 employees to its existing full-time staff of 10. Its sister company, Human Capital Concepts, expects to add 23 workers to its existing team of 14.

ExactHire, founded in 2007, uses technology to help small and medium-sized companies automate and improve the hiring process. The company is a 2016 TechPoint Mira nominee for “Innovation of the Year.”

“We are thrilled at the growth ExactHire is experiencing and are ready to exponentially grow our team and the services we provide to help make our customers’ experiences with our solutions even better,” the firm's co-founder and chief visionary officer, Harlan Schafir, said in a written statement.

Schafir also is a partner and CEO of Human Capital Concepts.

Human Capital Concepts specializes in assisting companies nationwide with HR management, which can include overseeing payroll administration, employee benefit packages and employment regulations and reporting requirements.

“We’re excited to build upon the success we’ve already experienced in the HR and benefits industry right here in this region,” Schafir said. “The new talent we’re seeking to hire will give us the momentum we need to continue our growth.”

The combined investment is expected to be $250,000 to add space, furniture and equipment at an existing office the companies share at 10333 N. Meridian St. in Carmel between 103rd and 106th streets.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered the companies a combined $275,000 in conditional tax credits based on the job-creation plans. The tax credits can't be claimed until the company meets hiring goals.
