Ardagh Group's glass-packaging division plans to spend $2 million to relocate its headquarters from Muncie to 10194 Crosspoint Boulevard in Fishers.
The glass manufacturing company, which employs more than 200 people at its Muncie headquarters, confirmed its plans to move to Fishers in early June, but company officials at the time declined to disclose the exact location of the new offices or the exact number of jobs that would work there.
According to documents filed with Fishers, Ardagh is committing to having 175 full-time employees with an average salary of $80,000 in its new location by the end of the year.
The office will be in Two Concourse at Crosspoint, west of Interstate 69 between 106th and 96th streets, and is part of an office park developed by Edgeworth Laskey Properties LLC.
The city is offering a 10-year personal property tax abatement that would save Ardagh $90,000 over the entire length of the incentive period. The Fishers City Council will consider the financial incentives at its meeting Monday night.
Luxembourg-based Ardagh Group employs 19,000 people worldwide, including 1,100 in Indiana.
The company has nearly 90 glass and metal manufacturing production facilities in 21 countries.
In the United States, Ardagh has 15 glass and seven metal manufacturing facilities, and four regional offices. It produces 10 billion bottles and jars annually for the food and beverage industries. The company says it is the second largest glass-packaging provider in North America.
Its Indiana, Ardagh's glass-production facilities in Dunkirk and Winchester, along with equipment and technology facility in Marion, aren't expected to be affected by the division's move.
Ardagh Group arrived in Muncie in 2013 when it agreed to buy Verallia North America, the Indiana-based glass bottle and jar manufacturing unit of Saint-Gobain SA, for $1.7 billion.
In January 2015, the company announced plans to spend $71 million on improving its Winchester plant.
