Blacklight mini-golf course opens in Circle Centre

October 19, 2010

GlowGolf Circle CentreA unique mini-golf concept called GlowGolf has opened on the troubled fourth floor of Circle Centre mall. Wichita, Kan.-based Opry GlowGolf LLC, which operates 20 similar courses around the country, took 6,500 square feet just up the escalator from the food court. The opened in time to capitalize on this week's FFA convention, in space that's been vacant for years. The course joins the Tilt arcade and United Artists Theatres as the fourth floor's only tenants. The 18-hole, glow-in-the-dark course includes a windmill hole, an "Octoputt" hole and a hole based on The Price Is Right game Plinko. A round is $8 for adults and between $3 and $6 for children, depending on age. Group rates and party packages also are available. Mini-golfers first "charge" their golf ball to make it glow on the black-lit course. The privately held concept, created by Reginald Boothe and John Wright, has grown quickly as mall owners seek new concepts to backfill vacant spaces. GlowGolf also has locations in Fort Wayne and Merrillville.
