A children’s amusement center is taking over the former Circuit City space at Clay Terrace in Carmel. The homegrown Bouncertown concept offers family dining, inflatable slides, obstacle courses and interactive games. It caters to families with preschool and elementary-aged children. Founder Andrew Hendricks opened the original location for Bouncertown in 2007 in Greenwood at 707 S. Madison Ave., and is working on franchising the concept. The Carmel location is slated to open this weekend.

A  few other updates:

  • Sullivan’s Hardware plans to add a greenhouse to its store at the corner of 49th and Pennsylvania streets. The corner has been a hotbed of activity lately as Patachou expands and adds a new pizza concept called Napolese. A hearing on Patachou’s request for outdoor seating along both 49th and Pennsylvania is scheduled for 1 p.m. Oct. 27.
  • Ruth’s Keystone Cafe has reopened across the street from the Fashion Mall at Keystone. New owner Jeremy Ryan opted to keep the menu and head chef.
  • Tastings A Wine Experience and Ambrosia Centro have opened downtown.
