Indianapolis-based Historic Landmarks Foundation is putting a local twist on a trip for its members this spring to New
Orleans.

The locally based organization will visit the timeless French Quarter and tour the changes underway
in the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina, including the Holy Cross area during its March 19-22 trip.

The trip
also will visit the home of author Julia Reed and the controversial new Ninth Ward houses built by actor Brad Pitt.

Shopping on Magazine Street and plantation tours will also be part of the trip.

Those attending the tour will
stay at Hotel Monteleone in the French Quarter.

But the highlight for sports fans is bound to be a March 19 tour
of the Garden District and a visit to the home of Archie and Olivia Manning, where Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning
grew up.

It’s not clear if the tire that Manning and his brother, Eli, threw their first spirals through,
is still hanging in the front yard.
