Indianapolis police believe carbon monoxide fumes from a generator killed an east-side Indianapolis man and his dog late Sunday night. Police say a friend stopped by the man’s home near Emerson Avenue and English Avenue about 10 p.m. and found 45-year-old Brian D. Beckley and his dog dead. The friend told police that the man did not have electricity in the home and was using a generator for power.
At least four people were taken to the hospital Monday morning, including one person in critical condition, following a series
of related crashes on the south side of Indianapolis. Police said two men in a Pontiac Firebird drove away from one accident
scene after crashing into another vehicle. While fleeing, they tried to run a red light at Shelby Street and Southern Avenue,
