Police are searching for clues after a man was shot to death yesterday on the near-north side of Indianapolis. Officers were called to the 3100 block of Broadway Street by neighbors who said they heard shots fired. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead just minutes after officers arrived.

Mother faces charges for allegedly abandoning daughter in street-WEB ONLY

An Indianapolis mother faces child neglect charges after she allegedly abandoned her 11-year-old daughter on a city street. Police say Deborah Mathis, 32, left her daughter on the corner of 30th Street and Lafayette Road late Sunday night. Mathis reportedly told police that she was “trying to teach her daughter to be brave.”
